My life
I had some damn good seats at the Purdue game this evening. Too bad we lost. We’re such a young team. I’m excited to see what the future has for us
I’m having a difficult time
Being who I am
And who I’ll become
I’m scared of the unknown
Of what’s to come
Will I lose myself in the tussle?
Like Dr. Jekyll?
I pray for guidance
Requesting strength I know I have
Asking for a sign
One will be here soon enough
Romney supporters: Take a deep breath and remember the sun will still come up tomorrow.
Obama supporters: While you’re excited your candidate won, please refrain from getting carried away.
“Win with class. Lose with pride.”
I’m a huge Bears fan (in case you haven’t been following me for very long and couldn’t tell), and this past weekend I was able to attend Da Bears and Panthers game. Talk about nerve racking. Cutler was bad, but our defense was boss as usual, and we won by 1 point with less than 5 seconds to go.
Lifelong friends don’t come along often
We all deal with feelings we think we’ve forgotten
They surprise you when you least expect it
Perhaps it’s a song on shuffle
Something you see randomly
Maybe a reminder of a personal moment for you two
Be sure to reiterate
This is normal
Don’t feel the need to over analyze
It’s okay to say goodbye more than once
People come and go in our lives
Those who stick around are worth remembering
Anyone who doesn’t make an effort
Isn’t worth your time
True story
I wish you could see what I saw
I was with a remarkable girl
She had a body that’d knock you out
Hair which flowed effortlessly
Hands which were always there for you
Eyes that pierced right into your soul
Lips that, when kissed, made you feel 10 feet tall
Being in her presence made anything possible
Yet, she’s gone
Here I am
Stuck with these enchantments
Reminders of the mutual intoxication
We gave each other simply by being together
Not just in a physical sense
But a connection deeper than skin
All the way to our very bones and core
Alas, I am alone
And I’m stuck with this constant thought
The idea of her being with another
It’s gut wrenching
In fact
I reckon that’s why they call it heartache
Strolling down a beach
Is the most relaxing occurrence
Just think for a minute
Softness of the cooled sand beneath your feet
Sun on your skin
Calming sounds of the waves
Crashing of the water at your ankles
Tasting sea salt in the air
Sensing the distinct scent of the ocean
The wind blows warm air across your face
Seagulls make noise in the distance
Standing in the waves is pure joy
Which leads to inner happiness
This is the definition of peace
Everyone has eyes
Most have 2
Some have 1
They’re the leak
The hole to the soul
Every pain
Every joy
Is ours for the viewing
They’re the one giveaway
To our innermost emotions
Because of them
We’re an open book
Regardless of our silence
Everyone has secrets
Everyone has eyes
We have our legit first date tomorrow night.
I know it seems cheesy being on V-day.
It just worked out that way.
I’m nothing but excited.
She’s nothing but nervous.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a first date.
Over a year.
It’s been even longer for her.
I hope it’s the first of many.
